STUDIO REGISTRATION FEE:- R 200


 All FLOATING TROPHIES won in the festival MUST BE RETURNED BY NO LATER THAN

JULY OF THE NEXT YEAR
 

Floating trophies awarded at the prize giving must be signed for by the teacher who submitted the
entry and who automatically becomes responsible for the safe return of the trophy before the next
competition. Teachers must sign for trophies. Students must collect their own awards.

Should you scratch a participant, you cannot re-enter them as the data has been deleted.

 

The organisers reserve the right to call upon any competitor to furnish proof of age and
the right to disqualify anyone if they feel they have cheated.

Competitor’s age and status as of the 1st of June. Teacher must submit competitor name and surname on the form.
Please type names as title case, not UPPER CASE. Use the entry form provided.

 

Only teachers may collect reports and certificates at the end of the day.

Late entries will be charged at triple cost after the closing date 20 JULY.
No entries will be accepted during the festival! Should you ask for an extension to pay,
the original entry fee will be charged with no exceptions due to participants scratching.

Payment is strictly payable by either EFT or CASH no cheques. Full entry fees to be paid once entry forms have been submitted.

 

Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstance.
 

No video recorders, flash/digital cameras or cell phones to be used in the hall or
backstage. Please make parents etc. aware of this rule. No smoking is permitted in the hall
or backstage. Please remind parents of these rules.

NO NAME CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED ONCE THE RUNNING ORDER HAS BEEN SENT OUT.

Should you wish to change a name in a group, you will be required to pay an additional entry
fee, as this involves creating a new certificate and recapturing the info on the database.

 

All teachers will receive “Official” badges for entry into the hall and backstage for the duration of the
festival as well as “Assistants” badges.

* Only “Special Requests” with regard Private Schools will be considered.

These requests MUST be emailed separately and will be considered, unfortunately changes channot be guaranteed.

NO requests whatsoever will be considered after the closing date.

Competitors who forget their dance, in a normal section and leave the stage before completion will be permitted to re-dance.


Dances may not be repeated in a different section. 

Only teachers and assistants will be permitted back stage.

​

Adjudicator’s immediate relatives or pupils will not be permitted to enter the
competition.

 

The Adjudicator’s decision is final.
 

Special effects – there is a dimmer for the lights provided by the organisers which teachers are welcome to use by themselves, however black light – uv’s, spotlights and smoke must be provided and operated by the teacher.

These lights must be set up by the teacher before the festival starts and removed the last night.

​

We require the music for the performers to be submitted in MP3 format on a flash disk. Music must be submitted before the start date of the festival.

The music must be of the correct length and order as NO MIXING will be done at the venue. Music on any online format i.e Google Drive, Dropbox etc. will NOT be accepted.

Music from iTunes, iPods or cellular devices will NOT be accepted.

CD's, records and tapes will NOT be accepted.

Teachers to bring a back up of music to the event.

If there are pupils who were forgotten out of sections, the change must be written and delivered with payment then a new running order will be issued.


NO special request due to personal vacations will be considered!


Length of dances must fall within the time limits as indicated on the syllabus.
